Because the Greenway team have over 40 years of experience, they know what works and what doesn't.
Do you have a question? We’re here to help.
It depends on what is more important to you. Some people like the low maintenance and value a concrete patio offers, yet others like the aesthetics a porcelain tiled patio offers. In terms of ROI, porcelain pavers are a firm favourite over high-maintenance decking.
Granite is extremely hard-wearing and the sleek surface will really stand out in a contemporary designed home. As well as being exceptionally tough, it’s easy to keep it looking as good as new especially when it is sealed with a resin-based sealant to prevent staining.
Many people like the look of decking but don't want the hassle of looking after it every year. Composite decking is stain-resistant and low maintenance. It will never need oiling, painting or staining and is wrapped in a high-performance protective shell that resists fading, rot and splitting, staying fresh and new looking for years.
The overall cost will depend on a range of factors, such as the materials needed for the job, the slabs you choose, the size of the patio, how long it’ll take to lay, and the paving design. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to pay anywhere from £1,200 to £5000 for your new patio.
Other factors that will impact the cost include whether or not you need any drainage channels or soak ways, any issues with garden access or waste disposal, the condition of the earth, skip hire and any extras such as steps, planting etc. Then you must factor in labour for the tradespeople involved in the installation.
Concrete slabs, porcelain, granite and limestone have environmental impact problems in their sourcing methods. Sustainable timber is a more eco-friendly solution, but it takes a lot of maintenance, and certified sustainable wood is difficult to source.
Since the early 90s hempcrete is becoming more popular as an eco-friendly insulation and building material. It is also an excellent choice for driveways and patios because it requires no adhesive, sand, gravel or cement.
Privacy has never been more critical than it is today. As more people work from home, the saying, "your home is your castle", is very relevant. That's why our clients value our work to protect their little peace of heaven. They also appreciate quality materials and great value for money.
For many homeowners, the primary consideration when deciding on the proper patio or decking solution is the overall cost of investment. This outlay covers the material and the labour involved in completing the job. Some materials are easier and quicker to come by and install than others. Other systems are cheap to manufacture from local sources and don't have associated import fees or costs bringing the project price down considerably.
As a general rule, there are pros and cons for each type of material. Decking hardwoods are generally more expensive nowadays so many people are opting for composite solutions. Some options are much more budget-friendly but remember cutting costs isn't always the right choice.
Suppose you are trying to make a decision about your patio or decking project. In that case, you must factor in FOUR main criteria before choosing the company to install your chosen solution:
